Each year Hospice Waikato cares for (on average) 1400 patients, plus family /whanua and carers, who are living with  a life-limiting illness.

Hospice Waikato provides specialist palliative care services across the entire Waikato, King Country and Thames-Coromandel region.

While some patients receive care at our in-patient unit on Cobham Drive, Hamilton.  A great many more – those who wish to spend their last days at home – are cared for by our Hospice @ Home and Rural Outreach teams.

Our services are for everyone, no matter what illness they may have or age religion or ethnic origin they may be .

Hospice Waikato also provides bereavement support to families, including children, dealing with the loss of a loved one, be it through illness or sudden death.

Our care and support is provided at no cost and we must rely on the generosity of our community, organisations and trusts to raise the funds needed to allow us to continue to provide this service in our community.
